That's awesome! I've never had anything like that happen in my games, although that is probably what makes Diplomacy interesting. While I have had bounties and missions for other AIs against me, they've never all out attacked me like that.
I'd really like to find out how to use that Dynamic mod for tactics... I tried it out, but nothing seemed to change... Maybe a full game with it on is needed. More tactical depth such as fleet formations and special orders would seriously top this game off. Almost like "game plans" in football games. Like, customizable fleet formations and tactics for individual unit types. I think a few drop down menus in a tactical menu (sort of like the Research) would be awesome. Then of course having the formations have strengths and and counters would make it all the better. This way, a out numbered fleet could easily take on a un-formed, "green" fleet of larger size. That's what it makes the mod seem like in the preview text, but I didn't see any other options, or notice any major differences in the way the ships moved or interacted in combat situations... Sad...
Also tried out the mod for the 3 bonus races, but it made all the planets and interface invisible, as well as units/buildings. This of course made it worthless to play.

It seems a lot of mods only work for certain versions of Sins, which might be why the 3 bonus races mod doesn't work. Also why that other version of Bailknight`s Graphic Mod wouldn't work. Like mods get broken when you update the game.. That sucks.

It indeed does suck, cause a lot of the good mods were made back when Sins was still pretty new... So a lot of them are outdated... There was a mod that added like, 6 new races, but it was for the first version of Sins and wouldn't work otherwise. It sounded really neat too... If only I was a modder.

Played Sins on teh new computer. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH FASTER!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOLY COW!!!!!!! I honestly thought my old computer ran Sins just fine. WOW I was wrong. It not only looks better, but the frame rate sky rocketed!!!!!! I felt like I was playing a brand new game! Just wait until I get those graphic mods on there... OOOOOOOOooooooooooo.
One thing I did notice though, is that some of the edges have pin-point sharp white pixels on them... I think I noticed them on your screens too... Any reason for those?

Mod problems... I cannot seem to get the graphic mod to work.. I have Entrenchment 1.51, and the mod supposedly works with it (it worked before on my other comp). Not sure what's up..

I never noticed them until you mentioned it.. according to random people, Sins has a problem with anti-aliasing but they're all old posts so I dunno. Try this: forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/323574As for the graphic mod, you downloaded this one right?: forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/368651Does it give a checksum when you apply it in the game? If not, I'd try downloading it again.

I'll have to check it out then... Once I turned up my anti-aliasing, it went away mostly, so I don't really care, but yeah, I'll look into it.
I didn't see a checksum.. Not sure what that is honestly... lol I'll redownload it and see what happens.

Ok, so they actually have a pre-order out now, and information. So here we go: There will be two new SUB SETS for each faction, being the Rebels or Loyalists (no specifics on those), which unlock their own unique tech-tree in addition to your normal stuff. So you could have the Rebel Advent or the Loyalist TEC, and so on. There will also be 2 new ship classes: The Titan class, and Corvette class. The Titan is just that: Massive. Apparently, these will be far more powerful than any capital ship (think Star Base ships). The Corvette class ships will be lighter than Frigate classes, and will have a array of abilities that will make up for their small size. In addition to these new classes, they will also be adding new Capital Ships to each race, as well as more levels and abilities for the existing ones. They are also adding different versions of the existing ships according to Loyalist or Rebel specs. They are also revamping the graphics and effects of the game to put the game on pare with some of the more recent games on the market. They will also be adding something called "The Reactor", which basically sounds like Impulses' answer to Battlenet, including achievements, friends, chat and more. Lastly the game is to include multiple victory paths (sounds like the Civ games in a way), which supposedly will allow games to be shorter. I guess you have to have Trinity (or all 3 games) in order to buy it though, so I guess I will be getting Diplomacy sometime soon. The game is being labeled as the "first stand alone expansion"... whatever that means, but it may run a little more pricey than 10 bucks, as this expansion will obviously expand much more of the game than Entrenchment or Diplomacy. Still, I am sold just on the above facts. Here's a little more in depth (but not much more so) look. sinsofasolarempire.wikia.com/wiki/Rebellionforums.sinsofasolarempire.com/?aid=405917No real release date as of yet, but they have it in pre-order, so it can't be too much longer... *drools*

Sounds awesome. Kinda confused though.. Stand Alone Expansions are expansions that don't require purchasing the other expansions/games. So I dunno what it means if it requires Trinity.. unless it's like Dawn of War where if you want all the features you have to buy all the previous expansions and not just the one.

From what I understand, they do plan on increasing the 2GB limit to 4 to better deal with the new ships and higher graphics... That was one of the things they wanted to do in the first place (before they were going to release the expansion).

Apparently Impulse is owned by Gamestop now. Also Rebellion was taken off of Impulse for some reason.. but I don't think that means anything. Sins devs posted stuff on facebook just last week. I do wonder if it's gonna get delayed though. Q3 is almost up.
