Just Newegg. I ordered a cheap $100 19" that has gotten good reviews. A 23" would be nice but I didn't want to spend a whole lot more. I dunno what to do with the massive CRT Scott left me. I don't think I'll even be able to move it since it weighs well over five pounds. Heck, the thing's heavier than my TV.

My Tower and Monitor arrived on Friday. Not supposed to get my internal parts until Monday because of UPS not delivering on the weekend. I like my case but it's a lot bigger than I thought it'd be. Also, I found it amusing how many screws it came with. I can understand it coming with a bunch of the small screws for internal devices but it also came with a billion of the large case screws. You know, the ones you can unscrew with just your fingers and open the case? It seriously came with a life time supply of them and heck, the case already has some screwed in!

Ok, I got my package around noon. This is such a headache.. ugh.. Everything went fine at first. Installed the Power Supply, hard drive, DVD ROM, RAM, Processor. Didn't have trouble at all until I removed the Heat Sink from the packaging and set it on the table. Picked it up to install it, felt some resistance which was odd and then realized what I had done. It has thermal paste on the bottom and I just smeared it on the table.. Gah! So I had to walk way over to Best Buy to buy some thermal paste AND THEN I had to walk over to walgreens to buy alcohol to remove the old smeared thermal paste. At this point I'm tired as heck and should've taken a break but I went back to working on the PC. Was in the middle of putting the motherboard in WHEN THE FREAKING CARD TABLE COLLAPSES! Luckily I saved the tower, the motherboard shifted about but I think it's OK. But everything that was on the table just flew all over the place. And now I can't find my screws. I've seriously been searching for a hour and a half and can't find them. I need screws so I can put in my motherboard. I'm sad now ='(

.... JEEZE!!! That sucks, I literally cringed when I read that your table collapsed! Was your monitor on it? I'd be surprised if your were able to save it if it was. Were the screws all in a baggy as shown above? They probably got thrown across the room! Look inside the tower as well, they may have been lodged inside somehow... Although, I accidentally threw my cell phone at the wall (funny story), and the back of it came off! I still have yet to find it!!! Flippin' Goblins took your screws, I know it. They're plotting to build a machine to destroy all fairies, and they needed PC tower screws to complete their task. I hope your happy that you're aiding in the destruction of an entire species. I hope you find them soon! You'll have to pose a picture of it when your done!

The screws were actually in one of the boxes. I don't recall putting them there but whatever. Had to go to Office Depot to buy a SATA cable, as none of the other stores carried any. They're charging freaking $20 for it, when you can buy it online for $4 or $5! So, a $20 DVD ROM drive ended up being $40. Not such a great deal after all.. meh, oh well. Installed my video card and Windows 7 is installing right now. I don't know if it's the Windows 7 installer or maybe just my computer but holy crap, it's installing crazy fast. I remember it'd take me hours to install Windows 98 or Windows ME. Oooo.. LEDs

So.. I cleaned my keyboard (yes under the sink, I always do it), and apparently my keyboard has now decided THIS TIME it will die. So I am now using Meli's keyboard! YAY!!! Gotta pick up a new key board now... -_- Crazy thing is, it works for about 30 seconds when you plug it in, but then the computer no longer allows it to work and makes a beeping noise until you unplug it again... I will now be looking for a new keyboard... lol. Awesome though! I'm glad W7 installed so well. XP installs pretty fast for me, but it's still pretty slow I'm sure. 98 took all flippin day! I can't wait to see some screenshots!!! ^_^ Make sure they're full resolution too!

I've been looking around... What is the real difference between dual-core, triple-core, quad and so on? From my understanding, the processors can separate tasks without looking speed performance. Dual-cores can process two things separately without loosing speed, triple can do three things and so on. Is this true? If so, If I just plan on buying games, why would I want much more than a dual-core processor?
I am looking at processors, and there is a huge price difference between dual and triple cores, but if there is not much actual difference, I will just go with dual cores...
