So far so good. Ran some more tests and it runs as low as 27C idle, and up to 45.5C after running a top-graphics game for about 30 minutes. I'd say it's a success.
Edit:
It would seem that the glob of lotion does a CPU well.

lol Nice.
Watching the video again, that does look like lotion. For some reason I assumed he put thermal paste in a lotion bottle for no reason but that certainly doesn't look like thermal paste. How much did the thermal cost you anyway?
