Meli and I just got home from the theater after seeing the last showing of the day. Very good movie, overall and as an X-files film. Although we were a bit disappointed that the story line consisted of zero amounts of conspiracy or aliens, the story was still very strong and well done. It did not feel like the literally just picked up where the series left off, yet it still felt the same in most respects. It continued the theme of the title "I want to believe" and really worked on the differences and similarities between Mulder and Scully. It also carried a few twisted twists toward the end, making it a more "X-Files-ish" plot.
Great movie. I'll probably see it again when it comes to cheap seats.
A very cool and much needed movie. I pray they do more.

Such a good movie... Brings back so many memories.
That was one of the few films I left the theater thinking about, came home and thought about it and now want to go see it again. I really REALLY hope they do more.

Yes. In a different fashion anyway. The story/plot of the first one was pretty cool and on a much larger scale. The 2nd film was on a much more personal character-based level. More heart felt and intimate as far as Mulder and Scully's relationship was concerned, and the plot didn't get really interesting til about half way.
It was of course, not the best movie ever, and probably not a great movie in many ways. It was just such a good feeling to see the characters reunite in a movie again. That's about half the reason I liked it so much, lol.
