Awesome video. Blizzard needs to hire an entire army of annoying announcers, so they can be talking in all of my games.

lol indeed. They should work on AI controlled announcer like in sports games to shout out thousands of pre-recorded worthless statements oozing with enthusiasm and hysteria, giving the player false injected confidence that what he or she is doing is going to be able to stand up against the massive swarms of hundreds of Zerglings parading across the map like a death machine who's running out of blood fuel and needs to extract the soul of your entire force that you've spent an hour building up and fine tuning to go against something bigger. But no, they sent a infectious ravage of the tinniest, most insignificant units against you, and turns out that is the best counter for your expensive, time consuming army. Then, just as you learned to trust the anonymous voices that seemed to be speaking to your very soul, they stab you in the back and show that very same enthusiasm for the hordes of Zerglings that have come to rape you, and instead of worrying about the now millions of bitty monsters eating your forces like a fat man eats pudding, you think.......

The above image is now my desktop image. It is a shrine to all that is Star Craft. I hope they have a cake icing unit in SCII, which will exist for the sole purpose of giving players the ability to watch their other units eat it. Tasty cake icing units....

Just tried out StarCraft 2 for a couple of hours. It really does feel like another expansion to the first game, or something. Some units and abilities (no Lurker upgrade?) were taken out, but some of the new units do the exact same things as some of the old units. I thought the changes to Terran was actually the most interesting.. more buildings have addons to build, and multiple ones at that. There's an addon that lets you build two units at the same time. My favorite will always be the Protoss though, and that's the only race I managed to beat the computer with. Built a Mothership, a mass of Carriers and two Warp Rays for the heck of it. Did have a ground army but they got obliterated easily. Anyway, it was a little choppy at times but not TOO bad. I had to turn everything down, though. But I did turn on the 2D portraits, since it was less taxing than the 3D ones and I had to have potraits. They were off by default.

How to play StarCraft 2 BetaDownload: www.megaupload.com/?d=BZZAAXPNwww.megaupload.com/?d=4JHYKEW5Unrar it, install, run and update the game. Won't work unless you let the game update. After updating, replace the Cache folder in Program Files/StarCraft 2 Beta with the Cache folder that came with the RAR. Download LazyLauncher: www.mediafire.com/?mon3ntwhit2Download AI Map Pack: www.mediafire.com/?52ntwzzlmzlDownload Computer AI Mod: www.mediafire.com/?tmgh2zyjionUnrar LazyLauncher, map pack and AI Mod in Program Files/StarCraft 2 Beta. The Mods folder in StarCrack AI 5.0 (no ai cheating).rar has to replace the Mods folder in the StarCraft 2 beta folder. Now you're all setup. If you want to play the game, just open LazyLaunch2.exe, open the map you want to play on and then the game starts up. Limitations: First of all, can't play online with other people. You actually need a Beta key for that. You can only play against the computer, and both of you are Random so if you don't get a race you want to play as, just go to the menu and click restart. Make sure to change the graphic options when you get a chance, too. Also, it's a beta so some stuff might be missing or buggy. I didn't have trouble playing, though and the game seemed pretty much complete. Only thing I really noticed was a lack of a picture for the loading screen and some balancing issues. Oh, and no Blizzard didn't make that AI.

After reading that you have to update the game, it makes me a bit worried how "legal" it is. Can you answer that? I know it's probably a gray area, since it's basically a pre-demo, and obviously not the full game... plus there are user mods as well... But updating it worries me lol.

It is, unless you're selected to be part of the Beta. In which case, you wouldn't have to mod it to play. With the mod, you're basically just playing offline but normally you have to log in Battle.net to play. Even if you wanted to play single player, you would still have to log in online. It's one of those "internet connection required no matter what" games.

I dunno if you're still interested in trying the game, but I got accepted into the StarCraft 2 Beta. I'm willing to share my account information if you want to try it out.

Huh. Apparently the beta is multiplayer only, so keep that in mind.
