Melissa graduated over the weekend and she and I bought a small hand full of games.
We recently got Time Splitters 3 for PS2 (it was more $$$ for a GC version)
Hyper Sonic Extreme. It is a sci-fi racing game like F-Zero, only much more realistic and harder... Not as good, but cool. It has a track maker too, which is REALLY awesome.
F-Zero GX (always an awesome game)
and Dragon Quest VIII. She bought it and it kept freezing on her, so we took it back and we are now waiting for them to get another one in.
Her brother is staying with us for a few weeks to work with his dad in town. He brought his 360 and we also rented Armored Core 4 (BEST freaking mecha-action game... whoa...) and he bought an old Xbox game Knights of the old Republic (Star Wars RPG).
We've been gaming it up like crazy lately, although we're really starting to ware down, but it's been a lot of fun.
A question is, if I bought (next month, I am SO out of moneys) Age of Empire set (1 & 2), would anyone else be able to play?

I used to have my mom's copy of Age of Empire but I don't have it anymore. I think Jon has a copy but it seems like he's usually busy.. I don't have anyone to play games with. ;_; Hey since you got Timesplitters for PS2 doesn't that mean we can play online together?
I have Dragon Quest VIII. I liked it, but then again I like old school RPGs.

Got some new games too, mostly for PC.. Warhammer Dawn of War: Soulstorm (Most fun I've had with a RTS in a long time) Command & Conquer 3 (laaaaaaaaaaag) Star Wars: Empires at War (meh) Zoo Tycoon 2 (Kinda fun, actually) Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis (The fact that the dinos in Zoo Tycoon don't eat people made me get this game. It's actually not that great though) Guilty Gear Isuka (GGX is better) Warriors Orochi (for PC, already have it for PS2 so I never even tried installing it lol) Supreme Commander (LAG-KAI!!) Guitar Hero 3 (LOLWUT Can't install) Fable (It's alright, though I honestly prefer jRPGs) Impossible Creatures (Make your own units! It's actually pretty fun) Portal (fun but really overrated) Megaman X8 (surprisingly fun, best MMX game since X4. It also has a Panda boss!)
For PS2: Persona 3: FES, which includes the regular Persona 3 game with extra content. Kinda sucks that I have to start the game over for the most part.

I actually do not have a net adapter for my PS2. Does the thin PS2 already have one? Maybe I should get one... Or a net adapter... Time Splitters would be SICKLY AWESOME online. Age of Empires is only 10 bucks at walmart if you wanna pick up a copy for yourself. I also have Age of Mythology, but I'm not able to play it with Justin because it won't work on his computer suddenly. Good old RTS goodness... I've been REALLY eying the Warhammer RTS games, those look like tons of fun. And cheaper than the miniatures.... How does it run on your computer? My main worry is that it will have a really hard time running on my computer. Although, I am guessing that if I can play WC3, it can probably play that, but I still want to make sure. A demo maybe.................. *ponders* Big list there though, I am guessing that living on your own is working out well?

Note* I could buy a Net Adapter for 20 bucks used, it doesn't come with a disk, but I hear many people say that Online Games will set up your ISP for you anyway, so the disk is more or less useless. I'll probably be buying that. >: )
Justin and Scott should get a PS2 version of the game and we'd all be in on it.
I hope you can do split screens online though, that would suck if you couldn't. It'd be fun to have you, Justin, Scott, Meli and I all playing at once.

Yeah, the thin PS2 has the net adapter built in. Though, it seems like not many PS2 games actually feature online play.
I have no trouble playing Warhammer. Also, I cheated and didn't pay for most of those games. >_>

metal gear soild 4 blah blah Game looks interesting. Have you played through the other games though? The plot will only make sense if you do. Unfortunately, the jerks of the internet have spoiled absolutely everything about the game. I already know all the plot twists.

Yeah, the thin PS2 has the net adapter built in. Though, it seems like not many PS2 games actually feature online play. Scott and Justin thought you had to buy a net adapter and pay for it... Last time I knew, most PS2 games are free, and they play as long as you're plugged in. There isn't any weird magic dust you must sprinkle upon it to make it work. Thats a lot of what seems to be keeping them from buying it for PS2. I may just buy them a copy so they will get to play. My main question is if you can play online with split screen goodness, with two players on a single console copy.

My main question is if you can play online with split screen goodness, with two players on a single console copy. I've only tried playing Timesplitters online once, and I don't remember being able to do split-screen. I guess that's one thing Halo does better at. no and from what ive seen i under staind most of it. but i don't remaber most of there names and wich snake is wich The plot twists will probably only make sense if you play the other games. I mean, do you enough know what the Patriots are? MGS4 shows their true identity. As for Snake - The Snake in all the Metal Gear games except for MGS3 is the same Snake. The Snake from MGS3 is actually Big Boss, who is the villain in Metal Gear 1 & 2 for NES/MSX. Solid Snake, Liquid Snake, Solidus and Raiden are actually clones from Big Boss' DNA. So, MGS3 is actually a prequel and while you don't realize it at first, sets you up for MGS4.
