It was actually pretty cool. It seems like one of those movies (like most of his) that you'd either love it or hate it, and reviews seem to express either extreme as well. I personally thought it was good, it was very well done and in the flavor of a lot of Night's films. There is a very big "unknown" factor that is played through-out the film, and honestly (without spoiling it) you never REALLY know what "it" was.
Anyway, the movie begins with two gals talking normally in a park, but suddenly, everyone stops in their tracks and act all manikin-like for a few seconds, then literally kill themselves in the fastest way possible. Construction works start jumping off buildings and so on. Very weird like. More or less the movie bases it's self on what you really don't know, but through-out the movie, there are solid theories and explanations that keep it pretty interesting aside from the weird stuff the main characters experience.
For the average movie goer, I probably wouldn't spend full evening price, but I'd EASILY see it in cheap seats or early showings.

For some reason I thought you were posting about a random Saw sequel. Now I'm mysteriously disappointed..
Haven't seen the Happening yet. Wasn't satisfied with Night's recent flicks but this one looks interesting.

I defiantly was better than Lady in the Water or whatever, thats for sure. It will either be a huge disappointment to you, or be a refreshing movie experience.
A new Saw movie would mean the world has finally come to an end, and that humanity has reached it's lowest... Thankfully that hasn't happened... yet.

Actually, I forgot about/haven't even seen Lady in the Water. I was thinking more like Signs or the Village. I thought the plot twists were really weak.
