I am now a very happy computer owner. My computer works SO smoothly now. I am using a lot of stuff from Oldversion.com, which I STRONGLY suggest them if you're computer is a few years old. Very easy on the resources, and I can use an old version of Itunes without raping my system memory!!! I am only using 250MB of ram with a couple file windows open, Firefox and Itunes open, as where before with the new versions of Itunes, Firefox and the same things open, I was at 400MBs. Such a breath of fresh air! Anyway, I just wanted to express my new found love for my computer. ^_^

How much RAM do you have anyway?

1.2 gigs of 333 DDR ram. Enough to do some cool stuff, but if I want to listen music (with the newest Itunes), have a browser open and work in Photoshop, you can kiss that idea goodbye. I'm not sure how, but de-grading to Itunes 4 (Rather than having the current v.7) makes a huge difference. It loads when I want it to, without causing a hick-up through-out my computer, and it plays music without lagging.
One thing I've noticed though. Meli's Ipod no longer works on my computer. Even after I formatted it to work on my computer. It only works with current Itunes version to make the software work (Itunes installs the Ipod software after formatting). So now the ipod just blinks at you literally when you push 'play'. Whats weird is that I can see and play and even import the songs to the ipod from my computer, but the ipod won't play them on it's own. Very stupid, very nazi like Apple products..... Remind me never to buy another one.

I don't know if I told you but I used to have an iPod. It's good if for some reason you want a 160 Gb music monster but I found it very limiting.. now, I'm just using a $30 mp3 player that supports more formats and dragging and dropping files. Sad.
