It's pretty dark here right now, so I couldn't get good lighting, plus our camera sucks. Anyway, I've been getting back into Miniatures the past month or so, and finally got to go get some supplies to make trees. I went to Jo-Anns and got thin plant support wire with cloth thread over it. I got Reindeer Moss, and a mini glue gun. So, I used 2 or three (3" long) pieces of the wire, and spun them together, making the trunk, and let the top of it spread out into branches. Painted them, and glued the moss as foliage. The wire and the moss were 2 bucks each, and it should make about 20 to 30 trees. As were if you bought professional pre made trees, they run about 2 bucks a tree. Enjoy. ^_^ I'm currently in the process of making the bases, which I am using Sculpey bake-dry clay, which I plan to paint, and apply the some felt I'm using as my "table" to make it blend together. I've spent about 3 hours to make six, although the first 2 or 3 were more goofing off rather than actually trying to make them. Feels good to be getting back into something I grew up loving, and doing it right this time. More pics to come I'm sure.

Slowly, but they're be done by mid next week. I thought I was going to use some clay and make little bases, but the game doesn't run that way. The to-hit modifiers work with the area of trees, not just single ones, so I have to make a base with at least 2 trees. I plan to use chip board and glue the trees (with the clay bases) to the chip board and then cover it with grass/felt. It'll blend with the rest of the terrain best that way, and I can still use the regular to-hit modifiers. ^_^ My terrain making should be done by mid next week aside from buildings. Those are a whole different story!
