Finally getting some stuff done! Got it sent up on my ghetto ironing board and the left over felt. The felt I got for the playing area is 3' X 4'. I had bought seat cushion foam at Jo-Anns, which only costed about 3 bucks each. I cut and soaked the edges with black paint, then went over them with brown and gray, and I feel they turned out better then most of the online tutorials products did! If it didn't take so freakin' long, I'd think about selling them! All in all, I've so far spent about 40 bucks on the whole deal. Felt (10$), Foam(another 10$, Raindeer moss (4$), green cotton covered wire (1.50$), paints (6$), modeling wood (5$), and glue (2$). I have 4 patches of 3 trees each, based on model wood and felt, with at least 4 more patches on the way. I've used only 2 of the 3 foam sheets I got, and I still have a good 3 or 4 square feet of felt left over. >: ) As far as cheep gaming boards go, I feel like quite the master! I've seen people spend 100+ dollars to get what I have. Any suggestions for terrain types? I plan on doing a rough terrain, with shrub and bushes. I also want to make craters for counters when your mech is destroyed. I'm currently working on a small rock arch and a couple rock "towers". Water and buildings are coming later. With those will come craters and rubble for destroyed buildings. ENJOY!!!! A couple mountains in progress. SO TIME CONSUMING!!!!! A hand full of terrain I have so far. I set up a couple minis for effect. GO GHETTO IRONING BOARD OF BATTLING DOOM!!!
