I am taking Biology, so I understand that evolution is pretty much the 'standard' theory taught. However, when my teacher started using things like "Lucy" and other examples of "human evolution", it was a bit unsettling... Lucy, as well as several cases of these stages of humans, were either proven to be frauds/mistakes several decades ago, OR, have literally zero physical evidence on which to support it. Why on earth is it still being taught...? I mean, I knew things in public school was 90% crap anyway, but college? Really? Come on. You know, now that I think of it... ten bucks says I will find Ernst Haeckel's drawings of the human embryo in my text book somewhere (I'll scan it if I see it). You may ask why? The drawing was used to show me when I was in school to "prove" human origins as fish, even though it was drawn in the 1800's... Before Ultrasounds... and modern technology... Which of course proved him wrong... Sorry, I had to rant, lol. It just really caught me off guard.
