Got Vindictus, pretty cool. Really does remind me of hack-n-slash console games like Dynasty Warriors. I was pleasantly surprised by how much you could customize the very limited choice of characters. Ended up going with Fiona over Lann, more over her skills and fighting style. Lann seems better at killing everything around him, but Fiona is more sparring and singles out enemies. Seems like more of a hard hitter, while being much (MUCH) faster than Karok. She's also got some neat defensive moves. All of this I assume more from looking up each characters strengths rather than using experience on my side. If I am incorrect in my statements, it is because I misunderstood or was misinformed.
One thing that has stood out for me is that it plays a bit more like a single-player RPG, as there actually seems to be some kind of over-arching plot, which is completely pasted on in most other MMOs I've played/seen. Doesn't seem to be ran solely by stupid random quests to deliver some completely good which is inconsequential to anything you could possibly be interested in other than money. Hate, hate HATE tedious and meaningless quests.
