Sad... -_- Although, they did say they may later release it to PS3, but in the past, they've never released anything on two separate consoles... How depressing.

I am continuously depressed that this game is probably a 360 exclusive... -_- This, among like 2 other games would be the only reason for me getting a 360... Which isn't reason enough... Maybe if I'm lucky someone will find a way to convert games or something to play on PS3. >: )

THAT GAME LOOKS SICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I must have it.
I just hope the story is much more solid than SO3. Visually SO3 was one of the greatest games I've played. The character/level design knows no equal imo, and the game play was so much fun I actually liked getting into fights. Story wise though, it was weak. It sounds like the setting could hold a much more interesting and promising storyline, but who knows.

Yeah, I wasn't really into the story but I loved the gameplay. I don't really understand why a lot of people didn't like it.. but I guess some people were pissed off about the "we're fictional characters" plot twist because it ruins Star Ocean 2 somehow. Even though I didn't see any connection between the two games..

I didn't mind the plot twist, in fact I thought it was fairly interesting. I didn't like how easily the characters took it, but it didn't help that I didn't really feel connected to the characters like I did in SO2.. I didn't know there was a major connection to SO2 except maybe some easter egg info from the same universe or something. I think Expel was mentioned at some point in the game. It seems that SO2 was ruined in SO3 because in SO3, everything in the known universe was fiction. SO2, as vague as it was in SO3, was a part of that universe. This would imply that everything that happened in SO2 was also fictional. My wonder with this implication, is what they're going to do with SO4. Are they going to pretend that everything in SO3 never happened, or is there going to be some kind of reference to the 4D world and the places in it? I think it would be a cool little addition to include the gaming world you visit in 4D as a place you can visit in SO4.

That's the reason why everyone was all upset about it because they're thinking it's the same universe and therefore everything in SO2 and SO1 (which is actually connected to SO2, though just barely) are part of the "fictional universe" too. But I don't think those small connections or references, such as Expel, necessarily means that it's actually the same universe though. While they're at it they might as well claim that HUUR DUUR the entire game of Valkyrie Profile is actually part of the "virtual world" because Lenneth and Freya are in SO3.

I guess that's a good point. It is mostly how you interpret the games. I personally never really saw much connection, but I could see how they would. It would be kinda funny if SO3 implied a whole other game series was also a "game" and everything was fake. I can't wait for SO4 to come out though. I really hope the whole planet exploration is good. That's one of those aspects that could be one of the coolest things or the most disappointing ones. So far though it looks like it has the same awesome gameplay, with a good possibility of a good plot. It would just take the cake if you could fly around the galaxy discovering new stuff all the time. Free roaming RPGs would have new meaning...

This is true. Actually, the same could be said of all Tri-Ace games. Although I hate to admit it, some of Valkyrie Profile's voice acting was pretty bad too. BROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOCK!!!!!But holy crap, that little girl takes the cake. I literally spit soda all over my computer.
