Past couple of months I've been playing: Final Fantasy Tactics A2 (DS)- Gameplay's way better than FFT Advanced and the law system is less retarded. Worst story I've ever seen in a tactics game, though. Frimelda's the only decent story character in the game, and you can't even get her until you practically beat the game. For some reason, playing this makes me want to play through Tactics Ogre again. Final Fantasy IV (DS)- It's kinda hard to imagine a FF game being difficult but this is old-school hardcore. Yeah, one of those games where just regular enemies can wipe out your entire party with one spell and you loose 30 minutes of progress. Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin (DS)- One of 'dem Metroid-style Castlevanias. Not much to say other than that.

Lots of DS action!
I've personally not been able to breath without something else I have to do the past week. So I've been playing the game, Life. Great graphics and in-depth characters make it one of the better games I've played. Although, the replay-value is starting to dwindle. ^_^;
I've recently had the urge to pick up SC3 again though... Must be due to that blasted SC4 being out of my clammy grasp...
It is pretty hard to imagine a FF game being... well... hard... (WORD COMBO X2!)

I've heard of Life before, haven't really played it though.. not a big fan of MMORPGs.

You're not missing to much. Like most MMORPGs, it's darn near impossible to level up and get anywhere, and the currency sucks. Cool graphics though, and very interactive.

Ar tonelico has some really cool character designs. I really wish some of these things would be applied to American movies and such. When we come out with some stylish movies with awesome game-like designs, they are always awesome... I want to get back into RPGs, but I can never find any that have the flow that I like. SO2 is still my fav because mostly I haven't been able to find anything else that has the same arches and plots that are really interesting. Personally, RPGs seem to more dabble in the concept of a story, rather than really getting deep and developing good strong characters in a believable and supportive plot. I almost never care what happens to any of the characters, nor do I care about saving the world or whatever you end up doing. Although I like the idea of developing your characters stats and such, but after that I have no incentive to keep playing. Any of these RPGs like something I could be looking for?

Been trying out the Warhammer 40k Dawn of War games (The first ones). VERY cool stuff, I'm really enjoying it, and I'll probably end up buying at least a couple of them. It seems like they can be stand alone or all together too... Which helps. Anyway, they are not much better graphics (about the same) as WCIII, so maybe Justin could try playing it. I couldn't mind buying a couple copies so we can all play, as the base game is only a few dollars used. Check it out. www.amazon.com/Warhammer-40-000-Dawn-War-Pc/dp/B0001X64WO/ref=pd_bbs_sr_9?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1222371678&sr=8-9And here you can get the demo. Try to see if your comp can play it Justin. www.dawnofwargame.com/us/home/indexIf you can play any of them, you can play all of them for the most part.

Finally beat Persona 3, yet another game on my "got years ago and never beat" list. Not great but it's a pretty good game. The only thing that sucks is that the story drags for awhile and the AI sucks. (you only control the main character, the AI controls the rest of your party) But it did have the most awesome final boss fight ever (usually they suck) and it's the only RPG I can think of where the main character actually dies. I'm really looking forward to Persona 4 though. Dunno if it'll actually be any better but it definetly has a lot more flair, and the battles are even more acid trippy.

I remember wanting to play the first game SO bad (I think it's the right game). I never did, nor any of it's later releases. Glad you liked it though.

I wanted to play Persona for the longest time but never got a chance to until the third one came out for PS2. The first and second games are pretty rare.
Now the only game I have left on my "never beat" list is Ys: Ark of Napishtim.. which I actually think is the first PS2 game I got? Didn't really like the Ys games though.. I think it might be time to head down to Gamestop and do some trade-ins.

Pretty much, although I actually haven't done any trading in quite awhile.. Well, I got bored with my PS2 games and unfortunately my flash card for my DS broke.. so lately I've just been playing PS1 games, some of which I haven't played in well over 10 years. A lot of them haven't aged well.. but I found a couple of good games I never got a chance to try. Grandia 1, Suikoden 2, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (kicks the crap out of the GBA and DS Castlevanias) And then, I found THE ONE. I forgot all about THE ONE until I stumbled across it and then remembered how, once upon a time, Josh and I were wishing we could play THE ONE. ............... FOOLS! GAY MAN FUMA WILL TAKE YOU ALL ON!!ARRGGGH CAN'T SEE CRAPThe game's exactly like that Psychic fighting game for Dreamcast, only 100x worse. Seriously, I was better off downloading Tekken 2 or something. Somehow I'm not surprised though.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! Holy crap I wanted to play that game SO bad. I remember that Psychic Force 2010 or something was an awesome game... I regret getting rid of that. Finding a Dreamcast now days would be insane, and with that game... whoa... Those games had something going for them. Free roaming y and x axis fight games! Come on! It's like Soul Caliber with jet packs...

I haven't played Psychic Force 2010 in a long, long time but it was OK from what I recall. I just don't like X 'cause the controls are pretty clunky and it's hard to see what's going on, but fortunately it's a lot easier to tell what's going on once you move on to the daylight stages.
Man, the Dreamcast was the freakin' king when it came to fighting games. It had Soul Calibur, Psychic Force, Project Justice/Rival Schools, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, Darkstalkers, King of Fighters, Guilty Gear X, Last Blade, Fatal Fury, Tech Romancer, Virtual ON, Marvel vs. Capcom, Marvel vs. SNK, Street Fighter (not that I'm a big SF fan but I do like Alpha 3), Power Stone.. and.. uh, tons of others that I can't think of at the moment. IMO it even beats the PS2 in just the huge amount of good fighting games.

Indeed. I don't really know why I sold my DC. I had some pretty cool games for it. I had the first SC game for it, as well as a few of the games you said. Those were the good ol' days. Although I think the SC series is billions of times better now, but it's still fun to play the classics.
I really wish they'd release a new Psychic Force game for PS3 and 360 or something. It would be sickly awesome to have a free roam fighting game like that. I also wouldn't mind seeing a new Dark Stalkers game... Those were some fun ones.. While I'm dreaming, it would be cool to have some new (and NOT crappy) Bloody Roar games. THOSE were some wicked fighting games (the first 2 anyway).
