Some of those were ok, but Ivy's seemed to be really random. When was Alchemy part of SC? Anyway, I think they could have done a lot more with those than they did. Most of them were just a cool set of normal moves that you could do yourself, just with more flashes. I had to laugh at Cassandras though, with the little love/heart face sits. O.o

You always did have a thing for the young ones. I'm playing my new Sins of a Solar Empire yumminess. Better than any cleavage barring girl. ^_~ Seriously though, the demo doesn't do it justice at all, it made things a lot easier... My first random game took 4 hours! That was mostly my fault though, as I had no idea what I was doing. Plus I turned on the Pirates, which are really really really annoying.

Been playing MegaMek (Battletech on computer), and having a lot of fun with it. I've neglected it for a while now, but I finally got the newest version and made a random pair of Lances to fight with. I won, but it was a bit of a coin toss. While the enemy bot had more points than I did (In Battletech, each little thing has a Battle Value), one of the bots remaining mechs wouldn't come out of the lake, no matter how many times I skipped my turn, and the other enemy 'mech ran out of Ammo. So I ended the game right there. It took about an hour, and lasted about 19 turns (5 of which were sitting there waiting for the 'mech to come out of the lake). Great game, but you loose some of the detail as it's all done for you. Still, a great simulation and a great game. Actually, you can play online if anyone is interested. You don't really have to know many of the rules of Battletech to play, as everything is done for you basically. It's more learning the program controls and knowing where to look for things. It would be funner (imo) than playing Starcraft or something. Here is a link if your interested: sourceforge.net/projects/megamek/files/Current%20Stable/MegaMek%20v0.34.8/MegaMek-v0.34.8.zip/download

Sweet! I'd suggest messing around with it before we do much with it. Play a game or 2 against a bot. The rules themselves are played out for you, but knowing the program (with a hint of knowing the rules as well) makes a big difference. Here's the quick start rules if you want to give it a quick once over. These are the barest basics of the game, but it covers movement and weapon firing. (I don't even think it covers heat build-up or critical hits....) WARNING: the first like... 12 pages are fiction. They're a fun little read to get new players into the universe, but still. www.classicbattletech.com/downloads/QSR_BattleTech_EN.pdfIn addition, I recently got a old (now out-of-print) collectible constructable "card" game. It's called Pirates of the Spanish Main (or of the Cursed Seas, or whatever). It's a game that comes with thick plastic cards, in which there are parts to pirate ships. You punch the pieces out and you build the ships (these are pre-designed ships. Not a design-your-own ship). You then use the ships to search for treasure and of course, sink and pillage your enemy. While the mechanic is stomach-turning simple, it's actually pretty fun. I got 2 boxes for just 2 bucks each at Shop-ko. Each box comes with 7 ships, 2 terrain islands, crew and treasure. Of course they are random and have levels of rarity, but it's pretty easy to play a game with just a couple sets. I am likely going to get a couple more boxes, as they are out of print. Fun stuff. Here's a link to the BGG, where you can see pics of REALLY souped up terrain and their little plastic card minis. www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/10653

Some interesting updates for Megamek! I hadn't checked their snapshot versions for a long time now, which is where a lot of the experimental development and beta testing is done. They've updated the interface! Finally, the log reports (end of turn text that tell you what happened) are nice and pretty, with players highlighted in different colors so you can better ID units. They also added a avatar for pilots! So each mech pilot can have an avatar! yay! Sadly however, it is very unstable, and is really just for looking at the pretty new design. Here's an image: megamek.sourceforge.net/screenshot-chatlounge.pngAnd here is another thing they are working on to make the terrain a bit more lively: megamek.sourceforge.net/screenshot-movement.pngAlso, here is a nice little guide that will help you through some of the interface things, and take you through the phases of Battletech it's self. homepage.hispeed.ch/barracodoladob/megamek.html

Stupid TV.... No interaction there. Megaman Powered Up looks awesome though, I didn't even know it existed until just now. Although, it doesn't look "powered up"... He actually looks like he is pulling a Benjamin Button and powering down. Looks awesome though.

It's a remake of the first Megaman game, which is probably the worst one but it has a level editor to make your own levels which is cool.
Just beat Disgaea 3. Not as good as the first two but still a fun game with a couple of awesome characters. Probably the shortest NIS game I've ever played, though.
